ABOUT ME
Welcome!
I’m Caroline, a marine scientist deeply passionate about understanding and addressing the impacts of global change on our world’s oceans. I am currently pursuing my PhD at Boston University, where I’m part of the Urban Biogeoscience and Environmental Health and Marine Biology programs, and am conducting an National Science Foundation internship at the NOAA Northeast Fisheries Science Center.

At BU, I am a member of the Rotjan Marine Ecology Lab, where I research the energetic trade-offs organisms make in the face of both local challenges (like urbanization and pollution) and global pressures (such as rising temperatures and shifting ocean conditions). By combining laboratory experiments, fieldwork, and mathematical modeling, I aim to contribute to effective management strategies.

I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with incredible organizations, including the University of California Santa Barbara, the Scientific Center of Monaco, and NOAA.

Outside the lab, you can find me exploring local art museums, immersing myself in indie rock concerts, or traveling with my husband.

Thanks for stopping by—I’m thrilled to share my work and look forward to connecting!
